Sebastien Kehl, head of Borussia Dortmund, has spoken about Jadon Sancho’s situation at the club.
Manchester United have been desperate to sign Sancho this summer, but the Bundesliga club have made it clear from the start that they will not give up their prodigy until the requested price is reached. Dortmund wanted an agreement to be reached before the preseason camp, scheduled for August 10, began, and United failed to match 120 million euros before this deadline.
United were still in the game hoping to score. The English team’s shortcomings were also good in the 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their opening game of the Premier League season.
“Without Sancho, Dortmund are less strong”
Dortmund, on the other hand, had a happier start to the campaign. They beat Borussia Monchengladbach 3-0 in their first Bundesliga game, and Sancho scored their first goal of the season in a 5-0 victory over Duisburg.
With events in their favor, Kehl says Dortmund are convinced to keep a happy Sancho at the club. “Jadon has trained well and professionally”, Sa Kehl told the Ruhr News. “He is happy to play football. Yes, one day he may go to a new challenge, but right now he is happy in Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Dortmund are happy to have him. He is here – and he will stay here. “It was an important statement from the club because we have a certain responsibility. Without Jadon, this team is less strong.”
